The crash on I-91 took place in East Windsor around 6 a.m., Friday, Sept. 30 near exit 45.
According to the Connecticut State Police, a tractor-trailer was traveling south in the center lane when a Volkswagen in the left lane lost control going around a curve and hit the truck.
A 51-year-old Manchester man driving the truck then lost control and hit the concrete barrier on the left, sending the rig over the center media where it hit a light post and came to a stop hanging over the median between the north and south lanes of the highway, state police said.
The driver received minor injuries and was transported to Saint Francis Hospital.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a 28-year-old Enfield man, was not injured. He was issued an infraction for failure to maintain a proper lane, state police said.
